Greenwich, CT based Charter Realty & Development Corp. is pleased to announce that in partnership with WP Realty based in Wynnewood, PA that they have acquired the Ames Plaza in Saranac Lake, NY.  The center totals 66,840 square feet and is anchored by Tops Supermarket.  Other tenants include Radio Shack, Rentway and Video World.  Charter and WP intend on redeveloping the plaza and expanding and re-tenanting the former Ames space. The plaza is located on Lake Flower Avenue and is just outside Lake Placid, NY.  It is part of the Adirondack region, an area in which it is very difficult to develop properties.
