Charter Realty’s Enclosed Mall and Lifestyle Division Signs First Lease
Charter Realty announced the signing of the first lease by the Enclosed Mall and Lifestyle Division for a 44,249 SF Famous Labels store at Gateway Fashion Mall, Bismarck, ND. Famous Labels, scheduled to open this spring, has over 30 stores offering a selection of clothing from misses, petites, plus, juniors/junior plus, men’s, children's, as well as jewelry, accessories, shoes, domestics, giftware and home décor. Famous Labels joins Sears, Carmike Theaters, Jo Ann, Hancock Fabrics and Primecare Medical Mall at the mall. Gateway Fashion Mall, opened in 1979, is located in Bismarck’s busiest intersection, the corner of Century Avenue and State Street, with access to Interstate 94 and Highway 83. With the addition of Famous Labels, the mall’s occupancy rises to 96%.
Charter Realty formed the Enclosed Mall and Lifestyle Division to reposition and redevelop malls through proactive leasing strategies. The Division brings the same vision and expertise to enclosed malls as Charter Realty has brought to the open center area for the past 16 years. The Division offers leasing, redevelopment, management, and lender advisory services for enclosed malls throughout the eastern United States. Charter will also pursue joint venture relationships in certain opportunistic instances.
